Where Do We Source Our Materials?

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, landfills received 11.3 million tons of textile waste in 2018. We believe it is our responsibility to reduce these numbers! The biggest way we are doing this is buying second-hand linens, also known as “industry cast-offs.”

These textile cast-offs are created by big companies who dye linen until it is a certain color, and once they have achieved that color, they intend to throw out the linens that do not meet their standards. Linen Provisions buys these second-hand linens and uses them to create all of their products in a local studio in Lynchburg, Virginia.

In addition, the scraps that Linen Provisions has after making their products is reused to make more products such as tote bags, dishtowels, and more! We value sustainability will continue to do our part to reduce textile waste in 2021.
